About
Founder & Director General
Pablo Fernando Altamira López is the founder and Director General of Velar Investment Banking & Strategic Advisory. His background spans public sector compliance, private capital management, and cross-border financial structuring.
Prior to founding Velar, Pablo served for six years in the Government of Aguascalientes within the Transparency and Anti-Corruption Unit, where he held senior responsibility for coordinating public information access and regulatory compliance across all state entities. He authored the State Public Administration's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, and oversaw audit, normative compliance, and procurement regulation at institutional scale.
Before his public sector tenure, he worked in private enterprise across administration, audit, and strategic financial and legal advisory for companies in the publishing and media sectors.
Following his government work, he directed a family investment office, managing patrimonial strategy, investment decisions, and negotiations across real estate, capital markets, and banking — experience that forms the operational foundation of Velar's advisory practice.
He holds a law degree with a specialization in corporate law, with continuous formation in commercial and civil contracts, corporate law, administrative liability, and regulatory compliance.
In Velar's inaugural documented mandate, Pablo led the financial, legal, and negotiation representation of a patrimonial real estate transaction valued at $2.4M USD — recovering $184,000 USD in unrecognized value and completing full due diligence in five business days.
